I also met a pilot. He said he could fly me over the peony fields when I come out to see the farm, "because I always need an excuse to fly." Wide-eyed, I looked up at him. "I always want to fly! You can use me as an excuse." Once the lakes thaw, I will call them.
At the same event, I saw some of the women I biked with last year, the "Church Ladies." I rode with a few of them and Aunt Lyn on Monday night on the Coastal Trail. 18 miles. Sore? Yes.
After my run on this beautiful "warm" afternoon, I saw Sudie and her boys from next door. Collin was steadying an old cabinet door between the sturdier branches of the tree to make a platform.
Small interactions, but they bring me peace and I am thankful.

18 miles? Not surprising with those ladies. You knew what you were getting yourself into. I will always remember that hill in Seldovia....
ReplyDeleteYes! We were just talking about that! And how wise it was of us to decide to stay back at the cabin the next day because there's NO WAY we would have made it up the climb they did.
